"Tanyung Palkyung" is well known in the Tanyang area with eight beautiful places situated along the river. Todamsambong means three peaks located in the middle of the river (5 miles), Kudambong means a rock in the shape of a turtle (30 miles), Oksunbong means a peak in the shape of a bamboo shoot (30 miles) with a beatutful rockwall, Sangseonam means a harmonious blend of rock and water (35 miles), and Kosudongkul is a cave, created four or five hundred million years ago (8 miles). Other attractions include Tanyang hot spring; Choongjoo Lake-cruise and Mt. Soback National Park.
