High Sierra is a family-oriented resort located atop Camelot Mountain overlooking Ruidoso. Enjoy the lighted tennis court, a clubhouse with an indoor pool, sauna, and whirlpool. All types of outdoor pastimes, including fishing, horseback riding, and hiking, are available in the area. Ruidoso offers fine golf facilities. In winter, Ski Apache is known for its excellent powder skiing at an elevation of 12,000 feet with a vertical drop of 1,900 feet. Gambling and bingo are available at the Inn of the Mountain Gods and at the Billy the Kid Casino at Ruidoso Downs.
